Genome sequence and annotation of Aquilegia vulgaris

A high quality genome sequence of Aquilegia vulgaris is presented together with predicted polypeptide sequences and a functional annoation. The genome sequence was assembled based on ONT long reads using NextDenvo. GeMoMa was used for the annotation of protein encoding genes.

Data Origin:: Experiment and Measurements DNA was isolated from Aquilegia vulgaris. Long read sequencing data were generated on a MinION Mk1B using SQK-LSK109 for the library preparation. All sequencing data are available from the European Nucleotide Archive (PRJEB63451).
Methods/Processes:: Basecalling of the ONT sequencing data was done with Guppy v6.4.6 (ONT). The genome sequence was assembled with NextDenovo v2.5.2 (https://github.com/Nextomics/NextDenovo). Hints from several plant species were supplied to GeMoMa v1.9 (http://www.jstacs.de/index.php/GeMoMa) for the annotation of protein encoding genes.
