„nuqneH?“ : Zur Eleganz der klingonischen Sprache
In 1984, with the third feature film of the Star Trek film series, the Klingons learned to speak. For the film Star Trek III: The Search for Spock the linguist Marc Okrand created an artificial language to enable the aliens on the screen to communicate in their own language. The following paper traces the history and popularity of Okrand’s invention and attempts to give an overview of the Klingon language and its – so to say – linguistic elegance.
