Populationsentwicklung von Dactylorhiza majalis auf der Beberbach-Wiese bei Braunschweig-Wenden
This essay documents the development of Dactylorhiza majalis near Braunschweig- Wenden in Lower Saxony, Germany from 1989 to 2019. Whereas one small population, lacking cultivation measures, has expired due to natural succession, the second population has significantly increased within the period of observation. This vital population is split up in two parts, which have developed differently. The reason for this totally different development is to be seen most probably in the varying water balance in the ground below.
