Ambrosia artemisiifolia in Mais: Entwicklung und Konkurrenz
In a competition trial in maize with Ambrosia artemisiifolia (additive design; randomized block with 4 replications) under semi-field conditions, different weed densities (2 to 8 plants/m²) hardly influenced the weed plant diameter as well as plant height. Although there was no difference in maize plant height at the different weed densities, the total fresh weight and cob weight were significantly influenced: The competition of 2 or 8 Ambrosia-plants/m² resulted in maize yield losses of 9% and 32% respectively.
