Über einige Neophyten im südlichen Landkreis Gifhorn

The paper gives information about several neophytic plant species in the southern part of the district of Gifhorn (Lower Saxony, Germany). A population of Vicia grandiflora has been observed for a period of ten years at a road slope. Elymus obtusiflorus has been spreading on an embankment near a village for three years now. Arisen from garden waste Geranium macrorhizum has built up an extensive stand in a pine forest adjacent to a village. A very smallsized population of Corispermum leptopterum has survived in a ruderal grassland on sandy soil for at least eight years. In a private garden the following neophytes brought in through garden mould or wilfully cultivated were studied with concern to their dispersal over a period of several years: Bromus madritensis, Commelina communis, Tradescantia x andersoniana, Conyza bonariensis, Cyperus eragrostis, Chenopodium giganteum.
