Ruderalvegetation – Dynamik ohne Grenzen?

The review deals with the changing ruderal vegetation in Central Europe, it shows an especial dynamic type of vegetation. Ruderal vegetation is a fascinating subject because it reflects very quickly alterations of environmental conditions, of transport systems as well of settlements, however the single species reacts only within its reaction norm. In principle it should be possible to use the ruderal vegetation as bioindicator for global change. The high complexity of the false simple systems limits this however. Therefore increased investigation of the ruderal vegetation on all biological levels is suggested; deficits in research are listed.
