The Universitätsbibliothek Braunschweig is in charge of the specialized information service for Pharmacy. Not only current literature but also historical works of Pharmacy are available in rare unity.

With the help of DFG-funded digitisation projects approximately 1,800 pharmaceutical books and journals with over 1 million pages have been digitised and are available open access. Next to valuable scientific historical monographs like pharmacopoeias and Arzneitaxen journals like the Pharmazeutische Zeitung (from 1856 with the first volume up to 1969) have been digitised.
