The Institute for Acoustics at the TU Braunschweig (InA)
We devote our research to the science of sound & silence and are dedicated to acoustics for people. Paving the way for calm, smooth and smart designs – this is the aim of our institute. Novel technologies require the development and fundamental study of acoustic effects, reliable models and innovative approaches. The works of the institute in research and teaching is grouped in three InA-Labs. In the Lab Acoustic Engineering, steps are taken towards an intrinsic acoustic, in the Lab Computational Acoustics the focus is on the further development of our in-house research code elPaSo. New modelling techniques for acoustic systems are being developed in the Lab Models & Systems. The institute's teaching covers introduction to acoustics, calculation methods and low-noise design to acoustic measurement technology.
